Cobalt
Cobalt
Cobalt is a metallic element with a silver-like appearance. It is usually recovered as a by-product metal in the extraction of nickel or copper.
Cobalt CoNickel Ni

Historically, cobalt has been used in the manufacture of blue and green pigments. Cobalt is also used in alloys to provide greater hardness and corrosion resistance. Petrochemical applications include refinery catalysts, Fisher Tropsch catalysts and oxidation catalysts. Cobalt is an important component in the manufacture of radial tires in the form of carboxylate compounds that strengthen the bond between the rubber and the brass-coated steel cord. Cathode materials represent a large and fast growing segment of cobalt.

ICoNiChem has been producing inorganic Cobalt salts for over 40 years and our knowledge of this metal chemistry combined with our commercial supply arrangements has made us one of the leading companies in the production of inorganic cobalt compounds.
